Anam Raheem

Creative Writer

Anam was born and raised in New Jersey and is the youngest daughter of Pakistani immigrants. She has ten years of experience in creative communications and supporting early-stage entrepreneurs, primarily women in developing markets and tech founders in the Middle East.

Most recently, Anam led the launch of Palestine's first immersive coding boot camp in Gaza at Gaza Sky Geeks, a Google-backed tech hub creating new pathways into tech for young Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. Before that, Anam supported the design and piloting of VV GROW at Vital Voices Global Partnership in Washington D.C., an accelerator program for women-owned small businesses across the globe.

As a published creative writer, you can find Anam's work in Wamda.org, T A P E Collective, and Amaliah. In 2021, her story, Tessellation, made it to the Wasafiri Emerging Writers Prize shortlist. She is currently working on her first novel, a work of creative nonfiction exploring her experience in Palestine through prose and photography.

Anam's creative storytelling skills and knowledge of the startup ecosystem and women's empowerment, especially in the Middle East, will help our clients be more inclusive of Muslim, Arab, and South Asian communities through education, economic opportunity and storytelling.
